Recognition for International Education, Creativity and Community Engagement
Dr. Daithí Ó Murchú, CEO of SecondYou, was recently honoured at the headquarters of Concern Worldwide in Dublin, Ireland, receiving an award acknowledging his long-standing contribution to international education, community engagement and humanitarian work.
The recognition reflects Dr. Ó Murchú’s extensive involvement in Erasmus+ and international education programmes, together with his continuing work in creativity, debating, innovative learning and educational opportunities for children and young people. It also acknowledges his engagement with adult learners, migrant and international communities and humanitarian initiatives connected with the wider work of Concern Worldwide.
Joining him for the occasion were the Vice-Consul of the Honorary Consulate of Côte d’Ivoire to Ireland and representatives of the Liberian and wider West African community, highlighting the growing connections between Ireland, Europe and West Africa.
For SecondYou, the occasion represents much more than an award: it reflects our belief that education, inclusion, creativity and humanitarian action can bring communities together across cultures and continents.
Together we are stronger. We are stronger together.
